I am the American Flag poem

I stand on top of the tallest buildings
I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice
They call me " old glory"
I stand guard with power in th world
Look up you might see me
I am respected and feared
People salute me
I am loved
I am recognized all over the world
I have fought in all battles
I've been all over the world
Everybody knows me,
Asia and Australia, Antartica, Europe and South America
From the north pole to the south pole east through west
I led the troops
I was filthy and tired
But everyon cheered me on
I have been burned, torn
and stepped on
from countries I have set free
this has also happened on the streets of my country
It does not hurt
I am puissant
But I not hold a grudge
I am sronger than I seem
I am ripped up and used as bandages
for the wounded
I am held atop of the dead
and in the arms of the deads family
I am proud

Letter

June 14 1777

Dear Sydney,
Today the first official flag came about. The first official flag is known as the Stars and stripes. It was approved by the continental congress on today June 14, 1777. It is marvelous. I wish you can see it at this moment. By the time you get this letter maybe the word will have spread. It had 13 stars for its 13 states. But there are many layouts of this flag. I don't know which layout you are going to here of first. Hope you are doing well.
Sincerely,
Natalia Fernandez

Rattle snake flag- journal entries

Dear Diary,
Over the years there have been many different flags in the United States used by both colonies and militias. I had always known about that one flag that was used by the continental Navy was the “Rattlesnake Flag” with the powerful words saying “Don’t tread on me.” But one thing I wanted to about it was other than it being part of the continental navy how did it become famous.Today I learned this flag became most famous when General Washington commitoned cruisers with this flag and then as people saw it it came out in the newspapers back then thats how it became famous. I had no clue that they used news papers back then and I was very surprised.
From,
Natalia
